Baltic Bulk
Client: Baltic Bulk A/S
Year: 2024
Brand identity and website for a newly established Danish bulk shipping company, developed within a shared visual language connecting it to the broader Scandinavian maritime world. Confident, clean, and built to establish presence in a competitive international market.

Launching a new shipping brand is always a test of confidence. Baltic Bulk, established in 2024 as a Danish vessel operating and freight-trading company, needed an identity and web presence that could carry serious commercial weight from day one, in a sector where trust is built over decades and first impressions are doing significant work.
The brief was to create a brand that felt grounded and credible, with a clear Scandinavian character, without leaning on the heritage clichés that the shipping industry tends to default to.
The logo uses three vertical forms in navy and deep red, a deliberate visual echo of the Risør Shipping identity Acoustic had developed in parallel, sharing the same colour palette and the same design logic. Where the Risør mark carries five forms suggesting a fleet approaching land, the Baltic Bulk mark is tighter and more restrained, appropriate for a company specialising in Handysize and Supramax bulk shipping with an end-to-end approach across the Coaster, Minibulk, and Handysize segments. The shared visual language between the two brands is intentional, rooted in the same Nordic palette of navy and deep red on white, without making either brand dependent on the other to make sense.
The website is focused and confident. The hero line, "The Scandinavian Way," sets the positioning immediately: this is a company that brings a particular kind of expertise and operating philosophy to a global market. Clean layout, strong imagery, and copy written to communicate credibility to a professional audience of charterers, partners, and counterparties.
The work extended beyond the website. The LinkedIn company presence was designed and illustrated as a complete brand expression, with a custom banner featuring a flat, minimal illustration of a ship on the horizon, the sky, the sea, and the vessel rendered in the brand palette with real restraint. It is the kind of detail that signals a company that takes its identity seriously at every touchpoint, not just the ones clients are formally directed to.
