1. Who we are

Acoustic Pte. Ltd. (“Acoustic”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a company registered in Singapore, with its registered office at 36 Carpenter Street, #02-01 Carpenter Haus, Singapore 059915. We operate the website at acoustic.sg (the “Site”) and provide innovation strategy, digital product, and training services.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal data when you visit the Site, get in touch with us, or sign up to our newsletter. It is written to meet our obligations under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for visitors based in the EU/EEA and UK.

2. Personal data we collect

We collect personal data directly from you, and a small amount automatically as you use the Site.

2.1 Information you give us

  • Contact form: name, email address, company name (optional), and the content of your message.
  • Newsletter sign-up: email address, and optionally first name, last name, and company name.

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: pages visited, time spent, referring site, device and browser type, and approximate location (country-level, derived from IP address) — collected via Google Analytics 4, where consent has been given or is not required (see Section 5).
  • Anti-spam signals: Google reCAPTCHA v3 analyses interactions with our forms to distinguish humans from bots. This involves processing technical signals about your browser and device; see Google’s Privacy Policy for details.

3. How we use your personal data

We use personal data for the following purposes, and on the following legal bases under GDPR/UK GDPR:

  • Responding to enquiries submitted via the contact form — legitimate interest in running our business and answering questions you’ve directly raised with us.
  • Sending newsletter content you’ve signed up for — consent, which you can withdraw at any time (see Section 7).
  • Understanding how the Site is used, to improve content and performance — consent (for EU/EEA/UK visitors, via the cookie banner) or legitimate interest (for other visitors).
  • Preventing spam and abuse of our forms — legitimate interest in keeping the Site secure and functional.
  • Complying with legal obligations, such as responding to lawful requests from authorities.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

4. Who we share your data with

We use a small number of third-party service providers (“processors”) to operate the Site and deliver our services. Each processes personal data only on our instructions, for the purposes described above:

  • Sanity — our content management system, used to store and serve the Site’s content.
  • Resend — delivers email sent from our contact form to our inbox.
  • Beehiiv — manages our email newsletter and subscriber list.
  • Google (Analytics 4, reCAPTCHA) — provides website analytics and spam protection.
  • Stripe — processes payments for paid programmes such as the Weekend Startup Lab.
  • Hostinger — hosts the Site’s infrastructure.

We do not otherwise share, rent, or sell your personal data to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

The Site uses a minimal set of cookies and browser storage. We don’t use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

  • Strictly necessary: a short-lived cookie that remembers whether your country requires a cookie consent prompt, so we don’t need to check on every page load. This holds no personal data and isn’t used for tracking.
  • Analytics (Google Analytics 4): used to understand aggregate usage of the Site. For visitors in the EU/EEA and UK, this only loads after you accept the cookie banner. Your choice is remembered in your browser’s local storage, not a cookie.

You can decline analytics cookies via the banner, or clear your browser’s local storage at any time to reset your preference.

6. International data transfers

Acoustic is based in Singapore, and some of our service providers (including Google, Resend, Beehiiv, and Stripe) process data outside of Singapore, including in the EU, UK, and United States. Where we transfer personal data of EU/EEA or UK visitors internationally, we rely on the relevant safeguards available under GDPR and UK GDPR, including Standard Contractual Clauses, or on the fact that our providers maintain their own approved transfer mechanisms.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you are based, you have some or all of the following rights over your personal data:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Request a portable copy of your data
  • Withdraw consent at any time (e.g. unsubscribe from the newsletter, or decline analytics cookies)

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@acoustic.sg. If you’re in the EU, EEA, or UK and unsatisfied with our response, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

8. Data retention

We keep contact form submissions for as long as needed to respond to and resolve your enquiry, and newsletter subscriber data for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe or request deletion, we remove your data from our active systems within a reasonable period, subject to any backups expiring on their normal schedule and any legal retention obligations.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse, including relying on reputable service providers with their own security practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children’s privacy

The Site is intended for business audiences and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal obligations. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected here when they happen.

12. Contact us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your personal data, contact us at hello@acoustic.sg, or write to us at 36 Carpenter Street, #02-01 Carpenter Haus, Singapore 059915.
